Rev. Charles Alley

Rev. Charles Alley, Langano Harvest Board of Directors

The Rev. Charles D. Alley is the Rector of St Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Richmond, VA. Chuck received his B.S. and M.A. in Biology from the College of William and Mary and his Ph.D. from the Department of Anatomy of the Medical College of Virginia/VCU. In 1991, he received an M. Div. from Virginia Theological Seminary and has been in parish ministry ever since. Chuck and his wife, Scottie, have three children and six grandchildren. Their son, Will, is an Army Chaplain; daughter Catherine has retired from school counseling to raise her three daughters; and son, John, teaches Humanities/History at Dominion Christian School.

The ministry of Langano Harvest Foundation provides a practical model for effective Christian mission in the Twenty-first Century. By forming a true working partnership with the local people, the old paternalistic model of mission is replaced by a sharing of the God-given gifts of Ethiopians and Americans in order to reach the goal of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This model for mission, Chuck’s experience in Dawe, as well as his respect for the other members of the board led him to enthusiastically accept the opportunity to serve on the board.

Susan Camden

Susan Camden, Langano Harvest Board of DirectorsWhen Susan and her family visited Langano in 2008, she was struck by the impact it had on her 4 children. The entire family had an awakening to the suffering of people in third world countries. Upon returning to the United States, Susan walked through the grocery store, this time amazed at how easy it was to get safe, healthy food in America. Since then she has been actively supporting missionaries like Mike Rodgers, and organizations focused on feeding the hungry.

Susan graduated from The College of William and Mary. She left her career in Pharmaceutical sales to stay at home to care for her family. The Camdens live in Downingtown, PA.

Robert "Tex" Camden

Tex Camden, Langano Harvest Board of DirectorsTex is a sales and marketing professional in Philadelphia, PA. Tex is a graduate of Virginia Tech and served in the United States Marine Corps in Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield.

He, his wife Susan, and their four children, Meg, Heather, Anna, and John, were introduced to the Ethiopian people over Christmas in 2008 and their hearts were moved by the glaring need of basic necessities in the community. The opportunity to help the citizens of that community has motivated them to be a part of LHF. The Camden's current home church is St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Chester Springs, PA.

Kerry Enoch

Kerry Enoch, Langano Harvest Board of DirectorsI have 4 children, 2  of them are still at home, and I have been married to my wife, Tammy for 20 years. My hobbies are usually whatever they may be into and keeping up with them. Right now that is soccer. I love to hang out with my friends and family. I am not a big talker, more of a listener. My wife and I both work for US Airways. We love to travel, and we go as often as possible. We feel that God has called us to missions and we have been involved since 2003.

I have been on mission trips to Senegal, Ethiopia, Brazil, and Ecuador. I have been blessed many times over by the people from each of these countries. I look forward to where ever God will have me go next.

Vicky Fuller

My Family supported missions in the past but following LHF really sparked my interest. They aren't the typical go in, preach the Gospel and then leave. Their effort is a work in progress that truly helps the community, not a quick fix project or a Band-Aid. People need to hear about Christ but your actions and examples of your faith speak volumes. LHF's team is commited and I like that everyone on the Board of Directors are unpaid volunteers. So many times I've seen where administrative costs outweigh the work you think you are supporting. I had said "I'll go wherever God calls me but please not Africa"; however, Ethiopia was of course where the Lord first led me!

Born and raised in Roanoke, VA, Vicky met her husband, John, while stationed in the Air Force at Homestead AFB in South Florida. Shortly after the birth of their first of four children, they began attending church where God grabbed their hearts and has continued to do tremendous work in their lives ever since. Vicky has served in a variety of capacities to include being a member of a core group that started Reading City Church in 2010. Vicky is currently employed by the Reading Public Library as the Administrator, currently serves as financial secretary for her church, and resides in Morgantown, PA.

Tom Tillar

Tom is a three time graduate of Virginia Tech with a BS in Biology 1970, and later an MA in Student Personnel and EdD in Educational Administration, as well as earning his Certified Fund Raising Executive certificate. He currently serves Virginia Tech as Vice President for Alumni Relations where his focus is in alumni programs and fund raising, including oversight of alumni chapters, reunions, alumni records, and communications. Tom has been involved with many volunteer activities including Pi Kappa Alpha Foundation, Montgomery Hospital Board, Center in the Square Board, Rotary Club, Blacksburg Presbyterian Church, Blacksburg Health and Fitness, Smithfield Preston Foundation, National Education Alumni Trust, as well as supporting Langano Farms from the very beginning.

Describing his interest in LHF, Tom says, "I have spent a career in education working with non-profit organizations. There is a rich reward in seeing the tremendous good they do by engaging volunteers and attracting resources that have a true impact in the world. Throughout those experiences, I have been especially privileged to mentor many young individuals who believe that there is more to life than being professionally successful and therefore choose to live a life of giving. Through their work, they make a tremendous impact on those in need."

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.
